TasteMakers is a curated community of creatives, writers, and makers with genuine taste — people who care about doing excellent work in the age of AI. We partner with leading tech companies and AI labs on hands-on projects, and bring in members of our community on contract to do the work. Together, our contributors are helping shape how the next generation of AI systems sees, reads, and understands the world.
We're looking for detail-oriented people with a good eye and strong written English to write clear, thorough descriptions of photographs for a research project with a leading AI company. Design students and digital natives tend to love this work — but you don't need a degree or a design background to do it well.
The job is simple: look closely at a photo and describe what you see in plain, well-written English — the main objects, colors, setting, any people, visible text, and the overall feel of the image. The goal is a description clear enough that someone could picture the photo without seeing it. It's a lot like describing a scene to a friend — we're just doing it carefully and consistently.
This is straightforward, flexible remote work at the intersection of AI, design, and language.
